Our Mission: No Child Left Behind

CoachPulse exists to support youth sports through inclusive skill tracking that focuses on minimum standards, not rankings.

The Problem We're Solving

Youth sports coaching often creates hierarchies that exclude children. When coaches focus on rankings or "star players," many kids fall through the cracks—missing fundamental skills that prevent them from participating fully and enjoying the game.

We've heard too many stories: "I don't want to play with X,Y or Z, they're rubbish." This mindset stems from systems that rank instead of develop, that compare instead of uplift.

CoachPulse was built on a different philosophy: every child can reach game-ready competency when coaches have the tools to systematically track and address skill gaps.

Our Core Belief

"Youth sports should be about development, inclusion, and joy—not about focusing attention on subsets of players due to physical attributes and skill level at such a young age when talents develop and mature at different rates. When we focus on minimum standards instead of rankings, every child can participate with confidence and dignity, developing a passion for long term engagement."

Our Philosophy

🎯

Minimum Standards, Not Rankings

We track progress toward game-ready competency for every player. We identify who needs support and ensure everyone reaches the baseline to participate fully, all while still celebrating individual growth and effort.

👥

Team-First Model

Teams are the centre, not individual coaches. Head coaches create and configure teams, assistant and volunteer coaches join and collaborate. Everyone works toward shared standards.

🌍

Sport-Agnostic Design

Built for any youth sport through a template-based architecture. For any sport where systematic skill development matters.

Our Approach

1

Evidence-Based Skill Tracking

We use proven frameworks (like RFU guidelines for rugby) as starting points, then let coaches customize based on their experience and context. Two-coach confirmation reduces bias and ensures consistency.

2

Privacy-First Design

Coach-only access in MVP. No public rankings, no social comparison, no pressure on children. Parents receive progress reports, but data stays within the coaching team until we build proper consent systems.

3

Coach-Driven Development

Built by a coach, for coaches. Every feature solves a real problem from the training ground. We prioritise pitch-side usability over flashy dashboards. Mobile-first, offline-capable, simple.
